I build the NUTS tournament schedule so finals do not clash with family dinners — though sometimes they do, and then the calendar is to blame. Here is how to read the grid in PPPoker, what to look for in the structure, and how to pick tournaments where your time pays off with the best value.

Where to find NUTS tournaments
- Open club NUTS (ID 111777) in PPPoker
- Go to Tournaments
- Filter by status: registration open, running, starting soon
- Watch announcements in the NUTS Telegram channel
Not in the club yet? Join in 5 minutes.
Key fields on the tournament card
| Field | Meaning |
| Buy-in | Entry cost (may include rake) |
| GTD / Guarantee | Guaranteed prize pool |
| Players | Registered / maximum |
| Blinds | Current level or starting blinds |
| Late Reg | Until which level late registration stays open |
| Re-entry | Whether you can re-enter after busting |
Overlay — when the guarantee exceeds total buy-ins. That is your value: the club tops up from its own fund. The bigger the overlay relative to buy-in, the better the tournament mathematically.
Tournament types in the NUTS schedule
- Freezeout — one entry, no re-entry. Discipline and ICM from hand one
- Re-entry / Rebuy — you can buy back in. Field is softer, prize pool grows
- PKO (Progressive Knockout) — bounty for each knockout. Aggressive style pays off
- Turbo / Hyper — fast blinds. Short stack, little time for decisions
- Deepstack — deep starting stack. More postflop play
MTT basics — Multi-Table Tournaments (MTT). For micro stakes — microstakes strategy.
How to find value: 5 practical tips
- Watch the overlay. A $500 GTD with 30 players at $5 beats $200 GTD with 50 players at $10
- Use late registration wisely. Fewer levels — less time, but a shorter stack. Works for turbos, not deepstacks
- Re-entry is not always +EV. Busted on the bubble with a short stack — sometimes saving the money is better
- Pick your time. Moscow evening and weekends — more recreational players, softer field
- Follow promos. Mini highrollers and series with boosted GTD — promo example
Bankroll and buy-in choice
Do not play tournaments at the edge of your bankroll. Rule: 100+ ABI for your schedule. Details — bankroll management. Rakeback and bonuses add ROI: NUTS rakeback.
Common mistakes when reading the schedule
- Registering for everything without considering the final table time
- Ignoring blind structure (turbo with a deepstack bankroll — bad idea)
- Playing 5 MTTs at once on a bankroll that covers one
- Missing Telegram announcements — best guarantees appear there first
Conclusion
The NUTS tournament schedule is not chaos — it is a calendar of opportunities. Read GTD, structure, late reg, and overlay — then pick tournaments where the math is on your side. And if a final clashes with dinner — blame the calendar. We are working on it.
